Turnagain Gallery is owned by Greg & Wendy Anderson. The structure was built by owner Greg Anderson of Alaska Log Structures (www.alaskalogstructures.com), and the building is a art gallery and gift shop on the main level. Anderson's built the gallery to display the family's artwork. and to serve as a model for their log homes. Greg's youngest son Jordan is an professional chainsaw carver. Jordan's wood sculptures can be seen inside and outside of the gallery, along with unique wood furnishings built by Greg Anderson. In addition, you will find Alaskan artwork and gifts, including handmade jewelry by Wendy Anderson.
Jason Anderson also does chainsaw carving, and the focus of his work is the bottle opener bear called "Beer Bear". These chainsaw carved bears have a bottle opener under their paw. They are available here at Turnagain Gallery in store and online.
We look forward to having you visit us in Bird Creek at mile post 100 on the Seward Highway. In the meantime please take a look at our web sites to view pictures and other info about our artwork. Custom orders are always welcome.
Greg, and his oldest sons Jason and Jerod, still operate Alaska Log Structures, building new log homes, restoring old log structures, and building stone fireplaces.
